What is this?
A dead man's switch for documents. You upload files, choose who should receive them, and either check in on a schedule or set a fixed deadline. If you go silent past your grace window, they get an email with a download link.
What does arm mean?
Arming locks the package. After that, files and recipient cannot be changed — not by you, not by us. That is intentional (including hostage-style pressure).
What counts as a check-in?
A successful login with 2FA, or the “I am here” button on your Status page while logged in. For a check-in schedule, that resets the timer. For a fixed deadline, that stops the pending release if you are still inside the deadline or grace window.
What is fixed date mode?
You set one future deadline instead of a repeating schedule. Check in before the deadline (or during grace) to stop the release, then set a new deadline or delete the package. If you miss the window, the documents are emailed.
Should I encrypt files first?
Yes. Password-protect a PDF or use an encrypted archive before upload if the contents are sensitive. We do not open or inspect files. If you forget a password, we cannot recover it.
Do you read my files?
No. We store and, on release, email a link. We do not open contents. You are responsible for what you upload.
What if I lose 2FA?
If you cannot log in or check in, the switch treats that as silence and may release the documents. Keep recovery options offline if you need them.
Is this free?
Yes: one package, one recipient, up to 4 MB. Paid plans for more packages and capacity are planned; card checkout is not live yet.
Can I run multiple switches?
Free is one active package. Paid plans are designed for more. Today’s status screen is built around your current package; a multi-package dashboard comes with paid capacity.
Is this a will or legal tool?
No. It is automated email delivery based on your check-in rules — not legal advice, not estate planning, not a substitute for a lawyer.
